Giving Moroccan Voices a Voice Stack

ElevenLabs builds AI voice technology: text to speech, speech to speech, dubbing, and an agent platform for real-time conversational products. Through ElevenLabs Grants, they backed MoroccanZ with platform credits and API access long before we had revenue to spend on inference.

What ElevenLabs offers

Their creative platform generates and edits voice content. Their agents platform is used to build real-time conversational experiences. Their API exposes the same voice models directly to developers. Studios reach for it to dub and narrate; product teams reach for it for support agents and in-app audio.

What they gave us

The grant covered credits across the creative and agent platforms, plus API access to their voice models. That’s the expensive part of building anything voice-first: the inference bill arrives long before the users do.

What it changed for our members

Voice features that were parked in our backlog behind a funding round shipped in weeks instead of months. Spaces, narration and our voice tooling landed early, and the cost we didn’t have to carry never made it into what members pay.

What ElevenLabs gets back

A young, fast-growing Moroccan and North African audience building on their stack as a first choice rather than a later migration. They also get real usage from a market their tools were not originally tuned for, including Darija and the French-Arabic code-switching our members actually speak.

Why both sides win

Early-stage support is cheap for a large platform and decisive for a small one. We get room to build. They get a committed partner, a new region, and a generation of creators whose first voice tool was theirs. Both sides are getting something they want, which is why it should hold.
