Ten Thousand Dollars of Infrastructure We Did Not Have

Cloudflare runs one of the largest networks on the internet, sitting in front of a sizeable share of the web to make it faster and harder to attack. They gave MoroccanZ $10,000 in platform credits, and our entire edge now runs on them.

What Cloudflare offers

Security, in the form of DDoS protection, a web application firewall and bot management. Performance and hosting, through their CDN, Workers and Pages. Storage, through R2 and their key-value and database products. And AI inference that runs at the edge instead of in a distant region. One account covers what would otherwise be five vendors and five invoices.

What they gave us

Ten thousand dollars in credits, usable across the whole platform: hosting, storage, security and AI inference. Not a discount on one product, but room to build across all of them.

What it changed for our members

Pages load quickly from Casablanca and from anywhere else. Attacks are absorbed before they ever reach our origin. Media sits in storage that does not bill us for every byte served. None of that infrastructure cost has to be recovered through a membership price.

What Cloudflare gets back

A platform that grows into a paying customer with its architecture already built around them, and a working reference in a market where their name is still being established. Credits given early are far cheaper than winning the same customer later.

Why both sides win

We did not have to choose between a fast, protected platform and an affordable one. They did not have to convince an established company to migrate. The relationship compounds in both directions as we scale.

Disclosure: MoroccanZ received $10,000 in platform credits from Cloudflare. This post describes that partnership from our side.
