Operated by Z Network LLC
Last Updated: August 9, 2026
Version 4
MoroccanZ (“MoroccanZ,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is operated by Z Network LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information across all MoroccanZ products and services, including our community (hosted on Circle) and our other products as they become available.
This is a unified policy covering data practices common to all MoroccanZ products. Where an individual product collects data unique to it, that product may provide additional privacy information, which supplements this Policy.
By using any MoroccanZ product, you agree to this Privacy Policy and the applicable Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Changes: We may update this Policy. We will post the revised version with an updated “Last Updated” date, and notify you of material changes by email or platform notice.
1. Who We Are and Our Role
1.1. Data Controller. Z Network LLC, doing business as MoroccanZ, is the data controller responsible for your personal information.
1.2. Our Processors. We rely on the following key service providers, who process personal data on our behalf:
(a) Memberstack — membership management, account/identity, and subscription billing across our products;
(b) Stripe — payment processing;
(c) Circle (CircleCo, Inc.) — hosting and infrastructure for the MoroccanZ community.
Each processes data under its own terms and privacy practices. Memberstack and Stripe operate across all products that use membership or paid features; Circle operates the community specifically.
2. Information We Collect
2.1. Information you provide:
(a) Account and profile: name, email, password, date of birth, location, bio, interests, and skills.
(b) Payment information: processed by Stripe (via Memberstack for subscriptions). We do not store your full payment-card details.
(c) User content: posts, comments, messages, course materials, and event participation in the community.
(d) Communications: support requests, feedback, and survey responses.
2.2. Information collected automatically:
(a) Device and usage: IP address, device type, browser, operating system, pages visited, time spent, and links clicked.
(b) Approximate location: derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise device-based (GPS) location.
(c) Cookies: session and persistent cookies for functionality and analytics (see Section 8).
(d) Analytics: usage patterns, feature engagement, and course progress, collected through the built-in analytics of our providers (Circle and Memberstack). We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
2.3. Information from third parties:
(a) Social media: profile information if you choose to connect a social account.
(b) Other members: information others share about or with you.
(c) Service providers: account and infrastructure data from Memberstack and Circle in the course of providing our services.
2.4. Date of birth and age. We collect date of birth to confirm eligibility (minimum age 13) and to apply the enhanced protections for users aged 13–17 described in Section 4.
3. How We Use Your Information
3.1. We use your information to:
(a) provide our services: account management, age and account verification, course access, events, and payments;
(b) improve our products: analytics, feature development, and bug fixes;
(c) communicate with you: transactional messages, product updates, and newsletters (the latter with your consent);
(d) maintain safety and security: content moderation, fraud prevention, and enforcement of our Terms and Community Guidelines;
(e) comply with legal obligations: responding to lawful requests and protecting rights and safety;
(f) personalize your experience: course and content recommendations.
3.2. Legal bases. We process your data on the following bases: performance of a contract (providing the services you sign up for); your consent (e.g., marketing, optional features); our legitimate interests (e.g., security, product improvement); and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time.
4. Children and Minors (Ages 13–17)
4.1. Minimum age. MoroccanZ is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, and will delete such data if discovered.
4.2. Protections for minors. For users aged 13–17, we apply enhanced protections, and we do not use their data for behavioral advertising.
4.3. Parental access and control. With verified parental consent, a parent or guardian may review high-level activity information about the minor, adjust privacy settings, and revoke consent (which closes the account), as described in our Terms.
5. How We Share Your Information
5.1. We do not sell your personal information.
5.2. Service providers. We share information with the providers in Section 1.2 (Memberstack, Stripe, Circle) and with email-delivery providers, solely to operate our services. Analytics data used for our own product insight is handled through our providers’ built-in tools.
5.3. Legal and safety. We may disclose information in response to court orders, subpoenas, or other lawful requests; to law enforcement where legally required; and in connection with child-safety investigations, including reporting child sexual abuse material to competent authorities.
5.4. Public information. Content you choose to make public (such as posts, comments, and profile information) may be visible to other members and, where the platform makes such content publicly accessible, potentially to search engines.
5.5. Business transfers. In a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will notify you of any change in the controller of your data.
5.6. With your consent. We share information with third-party integrations you enable or social-media sharing you authorize.
6. Data Security
6.1. Measures. We and our providers apply: encryption in transit and at rest; secure password hashing; access controls; and regular security review.
6.2. Breach notification. In the event of a personal-data breach affecting you, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
6.3. Your role. Use a strong, unique password, enable two-factor authentication where available, and do not share your credentials. Report suspected breaches to contact@moroccanz.org.
6.4. No absolute guarantee. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
7.1. Active accounts. We retain your data while your account is active.
7.2. Closed accounts. Following account closure, we delete or anonymize most personal data, subject to the exceptions below.
7.3. Legal and safety retention. We retain certain records longer where necessary: transaction and tax records for the period required by law, and safety and moderation records for as long as necessary to protect our community and meet legal obligations.
7.4. Backups. Residual data may persist in encrypted backups after deletion from active systems.
8. Cookies and Tracking
8.1. Cookies we use:
(a) Essential cookies: required for login, security, and core functionality; these cannot be disabled.
(b) Analytics cookies: used to understand usage patterns and engagement, through our providers’ built-in analytics; these can be disabled.
8.2. Managing cookies. You can manage cookies through your account settings or your browser. Disabling some cookies may limit functionality.
8.3. Do Not Track. We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
9. Where We Process Your Data
9.1. Where processing happens. MoroccanZ is operated from the United States, and our core providers (Circle, Memberstack, and Stripe) are US-based. Your information is collected and processed in the United States. We do not operate separate infrastructure in other regions; you provide your information directly to our US-based services.
9.2. Our standard of protection. We are not legally established in the EU/EEA, but we have voluntarily adopted data-protection practices aligned with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as our standard for all users, regardless of where you are located, because it is one of the most protective frameworks available.
9.3. The rights we extend to you. As part of this voluntary standard, and subject to applicable conditions, we extend to all users the core data-protection rights described in Section 10, including the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority where one is available to you.
9.4. Safeguards for US processing. Because your data is processed in the United States, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as contractual data-protection commitments with our providers, supplemented by additional technical and organizational measures where appropriate.
9.5. Local rights. If you are located outside the United States, you may also have rights under the data-protection law of your own country and may contact your local data-protection authority.
9.6. Your acknowledgment. By using MoroccanZ, you understand that your information is processed in the United States as described in this Policy.
10. Your Privacy Rights
10.1. Your rights. Subject to applicable law, you may: access a copy of your data; correct inaccurate information; request deletion of your account and data; export your data in a portable format; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and unsubscribe from marketing. You may also lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority.
10.2. Parents of minors. A verified parent or guardian may review their child’s information, adjust privacy settings, and revoke consent (closing the account).
10.3. How to exercise rights. Contact us at contact@moroccanz.org. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first.
11. Marketing Communications
11.1. Marketing emails are sent only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link.
11.2. Transactional messages (account notifications, security alerts, receipts) are part of the service and cannot be opted out of while you hold an account.
12. Third-Party Links
12.1. Our products may link to external websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; review their policies before sharing information.
13. Your Choices
13.1. Account settings: update your profile, privacy preferences, and notification settings.
13.2. Location: because we derive approximate location only from your IP address, you cannot separately disable it while using the service; we do not collect precise device location.
13.3. Notifications: manage push and email notifications via app and account settings.
14. Governing Data-Protection Framework
14.1. Data Controller: Z Network LLC (d/b/a MoroccanZ).
14.2. Key Processors: Memberstack, Stripe, and Circle (CircleCo, Inc.) — all US-based.
14.3. Standard of protection: GDPR-aligned protections applied to all users.
